Tell your doctor you insist on complete healing. We need you.

Gotta say I'm a little disappointed that we aren't going with the dark red on the Rambler... but as long as he's busy putting that aluminum 215 in the Vega I'll let him away with it. Maybe we should have held out for the Hemi just to make it a little more "Dodgey".

Actually there is a Javelin in Las Vegas that has a modern Hemi in it. It's in one of the AMC forums, I forget which one. I don't go there, cause they want to make soup out of me for installing a small Mopar instead of a AMC engine. As for the back, all we can do is wear a back brace...

David, it's now two years since our visit with you...

And it's a year today since Janet went into hospital.

Wow Ray! I guess that time really can fly, and must do so with ease! It seems like yesterday when you both were here. While I haven't suffered anymore broken bones of late, the chemo that I'm on right now just completely wipes me out. I don't have any energy at all. The Javelin is still waiting on paint, but the car in front of it is almost done. I'll try to get some pictures, but no promises.

Yes, it flies, David...

Let's just hope there are some good times to be enjoyed.

Lately my Valiant has got some paint over it, I'm now relishing the thought of finishing it off soon and putting it back on the road. A few odd-jobs like making the adaptor to fit the A833 to the Hemi 6, making up the 8¾ rear end (it's getting a 2.76 Sure Grip) and fitting in some bucket seats.

Maybe I should do a thread here on it?

Oh absolutely! I'd love to see what one of those Hemi 6's would do. The Aussie Valiants are cool and very unique looking compared to what was sold on this side of the pond.

Some people are getting well over 400bhp at the flywheel from them now...

Naturally aspirated, no NOS, just carby and gas. Some are getting over 500bhp with the aftermarket alloy head.

I'd be happy with about 350bhp...

Well looks like the AMC will catch some paint this spring sometime. I'm getting more gimpy in my right hip/leg and I have a hot spot in my lower back. If it doesn't get better here soon, I will have to get it nuked. It's just a touch too cold for me to be outside messin' with cars. I just can't take the cold with all this bone damage. I bet Ray's enjoying the warmer temp's right now. I just mainly wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Warmer temperatures?

It's too hot to get anything done!

Hope you can get on with your project, David...

So, the trick would be to live in Australia when it's winter here and here when it's winter there.

There are people who do that...

I met one couple in Detroit who do. She's Australian and he's American and they have an eternal summer.

If you need to cool off, come on over and work on my speedster chassis, it's looking right chilly these days. We were out of power for 17 hrs due to an ice storm yesterday so this shot is my standby generator keeping the yard lit up. It's capable of running the 2 houses and the pig barn (now empty)... all with electric heat.

Actually the problem is that it isn't cold enough. Temps have been hovering right around the freezing mark so we're getting rain instead of snow. The heavy coating of ice broke a power line 2 miles west of us so that put us out of power until they got it fixed. Left some nice burn marks across the road too, and the people a mile away saw the light show through their trees. One of the reasons I put that tractor on was because the tank still has a fall blend fuel in it... it will get the minus 50 winter stuff in it shortly.

It's just over a year since this thread has been posted in...

I phoned David yesterday, he's not in a good way. He's making four trips a week to the cancer clinic in Albuquerque and the chemo regimes he is on for the bone cancer won't allow his broken bones to heal.

He wants me to convey to everyone that he's okay and that he still intends getting his Javelin finished off, he has to because the Vega he's driving is too rough on his poor bones.

I was thinking in this case that no news was probably not good news. Hope he's on the road to recovery soon. Yea, that Vega isn't going to cut the mustard.

Hi Guys! As Ray said, I'm not doing to hot. The cancer has spread all over, including a tumor on my rib/lung. We switched to the latest chemo mix, and it's kicking the cancer's *ss! I can't use my right arm except to hold a soda pop due to the break that won't heal. Same with my hip. I have such wonderful friends that come over and help me with the cars. It's maddening seeing so much to be done, only not to be able to do it! Hope you all are well.

Started another round of chemo on Monday. Monday and Tuesday is The Chemo soup, and Wednesday and Thursday I get shots to build my white cells back up. My cancer marker didn't go down this time. So we'll see what happens next time we test...

Thanks for all the support guys, your the best!
