Hi Grandv8,

That 62 Newport and the 72 Newport are beautiful. My Dad had a 62 and a 70 Newport Custom. Your 72 is one handsome piece of rolling real estate! I will never forget the cool speedo on the 62 under that bubble, it looked futuristic to me, like it came out of a rocketship or something.

Here's a shot of my baby's first car show, Krusin' Kahunavile. No prizes or nothin' just a bunch of guys with awesome cars. I was proud to be the only MOPAR there, at least for the 1st 3 hours til another Challenger showed up ('73).

As you can see, she cleaned up real nice. I compounded the poor wet sanding spots out & applied some Mother's Karnuba. STP'd the top & interior, & it was ready to go.

Most of th info can be found here

I don't like to think of it as a T/A clone, but I do like the hood (other than having to scoot up in the seat to see over it when going up a hill ) It wasn't done very well, & I'm looking to get a replacement.

She's a 360 w/ mild cam, Edelbrock 750, headers. 904 trans, not sure about the rear. A big block & 727 is in her future, if I can scrape up the cash, but she's pretty good for right now.

I noticed you are trying to sell, Are you still going to?
I guess if you don't sell it is that when the big guns are coming in (BB-727)?
It would be a bloody good car to get a hold of, I've seen alot worse on eBay for more $$$ and yours isn't in bad condition just some T.L.C and she's a daily driver! If you sell it will you be buying another Mopar? If so what will you be looking at?
If I were you I would keep that Bad Boy and fix her up a tad........of course this all depends on the Money, any how awesome car mate

Default 70 T/A

This is my 70 T/A Challenger. I did this car to look stock. I however did the engine with 12.5:1 TRW's, Crane solid lifter cam, 4000 RPM converter, B&M transmittion(727), 4.88:1 sure grip and a whole host of other updates. This car is a blast to cruise in.

Awesome 58!

Cool, I'd drive around with a white t-shirt and smokes in the shoulder with my hair greased back, black jeans and white sneakers..... Also listening to Chuck Berry on my way to Burger King, OK I got a little carried away

Welcome aboard to Moparchat beepee, you've got some rare and collectable Mopars there mate - very awesome. I don't think I've seen such a wide variety on this site, all you need is a 1968-70 Muscle car, Viper and a Ram and you would cover all forums.
Once again Welcome aboard..........
