It certainly looks authentic. The only thing that caught my eye is the car is described as having a 4 speed transmission, but clearly has an automatic shifter and no clutch pedal. Further down in Galen's description it confirms that the car originally had a 4 speed manual but now has an automatic.

It seems to me that this guy has spent a great deal of time weaving a pedigree for this car which is basically junk. It's not a car which was owned by anyone famous. (like Sox & Martin Don Carlton or even Dick Landy?) The car was once worked on by D.L. Has anyone ever heard of the former owner? Lee Cameron??
The number tag is from an original "R" code car The car it self who knows? It may have some value as a former race car. The engine & trans are not original. The guy selling this is either a scam artist or delusional. Any one buying into this may be too.

Well, I'm not exactly sure what this guy has for sale here, but I did find this picture in Hot Rod Mag's archives :

Lee Cameron, Super Stock, '70 NHRA World Finals, Dallas

I go with delusional.
I get the feeling he actually thinks this car is worth 250,000.00.
Restored maybe.
As it sits , 30 seems like plenty.

I find it questionable that anybody would bid even $1000. for this rust bucket even the coveted "R" code number plate is nearly completely rusted out. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy has phony bidders inflating the bid price upward, Hoping someone would be foolish enough to bid 30K for this pile of dung.aside from a few Hemi engine parts that can now be had new, why would you pay good money for this rusty pile?
