The '81-'86 Lebaron is a K car, but the '87-'96 Lebaron is considered a "J" body. The "J" body has more in common with the Dodge Daytona and Chrysler Laser ("G" bodies) than the previous generation Lebaron. There is also the Lebaron GTS, a four door classified as an "H" body. Does your car have the extra lights on the fender that light up when the turn signal is on? My '87 does, but I'm not sure how long that was used.

Just curious. I think they're ugly and detracts from the otherwise sleek style of the car. I'm going to get later Lebaron fenders and eliminate them altogether.

Do you like them? They seem to be rather redundant to me. Chrysler Chronicle shows them on the 1987 and 1988 models, and that's why a asked 2.2style if his car had them, but he said that it didn't, making me think that it was dropped before the end of the 1988 model year.

After more research, I found that the coupes continued to use them through 1988, but the convertibles didn't after '87. Odd, but true.

They seem to be standard on the entire '87 Lebaron line, and only on the coupes in '88. None of my literature explains the reasons for this, though.
